Lee McInnis established American Lumbermill as the go-to Shiplap board shop in Texas and has grown to be a national shiplap supplier for contractors, homeowners, landscapers, architects, masons, major suppliers, and resellers. American Lumbermill is known especially for our premium shiplap “without the lap” that’s unique for its 3/8″ thickness. It’s a better product than you will ever find at a major retail store.
Our company growth is due largely in part to our amazing customers who continue to order shiplap boards in various quantities. Our incredible pricing in comparison to our overpriced competitors and transparency has built us a reputation of trust. SHIPLAP “WITHOUT THE LAP”
By popular demand, we began producing our own style of shiplap boards. We have sold more than 250,000 square feet in the last year to home owners, crafters, contractors and real estate investors. This wood is unique because of it’s 3/8” nominal thickness. It’s not the same ol’ stuff from Lowe’s or Home Depot. It is thin and lightweight, ideal for walls and ceilings, alike. At 5.5” wide, it is the perfect width to cover any area. The standard board length is 12’ long. The wood we offer is premium, hand selected, and re-purposed white pine or white fir that leaves a beautiful grain and bandsaw texture. Many customers love the natural color of the wood, while others paint or stain the wood to their liking. The wood is soft and you can use a palm sander to quickly sand the surface, if necessary. FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED
We are based out of Azle, Texas, where our prices run as low as $.99 per sq ft. We also have units in Salado, Georgetown, and Austin, Texas. We charge a few pennies on the dollar more at these locations to cover transportation costs $1.08-$1.20 per sq ft. Lee’s brother Alan opened up a unit in Colorado Springs, Colorado in mid February, 2018 that can produce boards at $1.20-$1.45 per sq ft. We deliver and can ship nationwide. To date, we have provided lumber products to 20+ states.
With Lee’s extensive experience of wood working over the last 4 decades, he has passed down a wealth of knowledge to his daughter, Caroline.
The American Lumbermill Company began in Azle, Texas in 1987. Lee built custom cabinets and furniture for thousands of clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He went on to create reclaimed wood flooring from industrial pallet wood with his brother Alan. Although he no longer creates custom cabinets, the wood flooring is still available.
